Shrewsbury vs Wycombe - Sam Ricketts may shuffle Shrewsbury pack for Wycombe visit
Posted Thursday, March 14, 2019 by PA
Shrewsbury boss Sam Ricketts must decide whether to shuffle his pack once again for the visit of fellow League One strugglers Wycombe.
Ricketts made four changes for the midweek loss to Plymouth, including giving Stefan Payne a first start since he rejoined the club from Bristol Rovers, but he was substituted after less than an hour.
Anthony Grant and Scott Golbourne were also recalled and will hope to keep their places against their former club.
James Bolton has missed the last two games with an ankle problem and is unlikely to be fit.
Wycombe have been dragged into the relegation battle after eight games without a win but manager Gareth Ainsworth has been buoyed by positive injury news.
Dominic Gape and Anthony Stewart both missed the disappointing midweek defeat by Accrington with knocks sustained in last weekend’s draw with Sunderland but are expected to be available.
The same is true of Matt Bloomfield and Luke Bolton after they suffered knocks in midweek, while Marcus Bean returns from suspension but Nathan Tyson remains banned.
New signing Ben Frempah will hope to make his debut after he was an unused substitute against Stanley.
