Sheffield Wednesday will check on defenders Morgan Fox and Jordan Thorniley ahead of Monday’s derby clash with Sheffield United.
Fox (back) and Thorniley (concussion) have missed Wednesday’s last two matches with their respective injuries and will be monitored before the high-flying Blades visit Hillsborough.
Achraf Lazaar, on loan from Newcastle, was taken off in the first half of the Owls’ 2-0 victory over Brentford on Tuesday and is set for a spell on the sidelines.
Steve Bruce’s Wednesday side head into the game on the back of a seven-match unbeaten run which has seen them pick up four wins and three draws.
United boss Chris Wilder will be able to welcome back influential defender Jack O’Connell for the trip.
O’Connell has missed the last three matches after suffering a hamstring injury but he could celebrate signing a new long-term deal on Thursday with a return to the starting line-up.
John Egan was taken off midway through last weekend’s 1-0 win over West Brom but is available to play some part.
Fellow defender George Baldock is also in contention after recovering from the calf injury he suffered against Middlesbrough.
