Substitute Scott Quigley was FC Halifax’s hero as they won for the first time in 2019 with a 1-0 victory at Maidstone.
A collision in the first quarter-hour saw Maidstone keeper Dion Henry carried off on a stretcher with Halifax forward Dayle Southwell also replaced two minutes later.
Chris Lewington and Quigley were their respective replacements, while Halifax also lost Ben Tomlinson to injury before half-time with Jordan Preston taking his place.
Nathan Clarke headed against a post before on-loan Blackpool forward Quigley, who was a constant threat in the second period, got a deserved first goal for the club with three minutes remaining.
