JJ Hooper at the double as Bromley beat Maidstone

JJ Hooper’s two goals helped Bromley see off struggling Maidstone 2-0 at Hayes Lane.
The hosts dominated from the off, creating plenty of half chances, but Maidstone spurned a good opportunity when Shaun Donnellan struck over.
Bromley hit the front on the half-hour mark. The away side did not effectively clear Richard Brindley’s ball, and Hooper pounced from close range.
The Stones never looked like getting their second league win of 2019. Hooper could have extended the Ravens’ lead, but half-volleyed wide.
The forward did put matters beyond doubt when he ran clear on the counter-attack in injury time and finished calmly past Dion Henry.
