Shrewsbury stay in drop zone after Burton draw

Shrewsbury remain in the League One relegation zone after a 1-1 draw against mid-table Burton.
Tyrese Campbell gave Shrewsbury an early lead before David Templeton quickly equalised for Nigel Clough’s side.
Shrewsbury raced into an eighth-minute lead when a pass from defender Ro-Shaun Williams ran to Campbell and the striker, on loan from Stoke, produced a cool finish to slot the ball past advancing goalkeeper Bradley Collins.
But Burton were quickly back on level terms when Stephen Quinn’s cross from the left was headed home by Templeton for an 11th-minute equaliser.
Shaun Whalley was denied by the legs of Collins before Marcus Harness was just off target for Burton at the other end.
James Bolton went close with a header for Shrewsbury early in the second half and Kyle McFadzean did the same for Burton, before Lucas Akins fired just wide for the visitors as the points were shared.
