Dunfermline back to winning ways against Inverness

Joseph Thomson’s second-half strike proved enough as Dunfermline edged a narrow 1-0 victory over Inverness at East End Park.
The hosts enjoyed the better of the chances in the first half but Danny Devine headed both an early effort and a late effort wide as Thomson tested Inverness goalkeeper Mark Ridgers midway through the first half.
Tom Walsh was looking for his sixth league goal of the season just after the half-hour mark but the Caley winger fired his long-range attempt over the crossbar as the opening half ended goalless.
The Pars were rewarded for their first-half dominance two minutes after the break as Thomson’s long-range shot broke the deadlock.
Aidan Connolly struck the bar as the home side looked to double their lead on the hour mark, while team-mate Ryan Blair fired wide moments later as Dunfermline returned to winning ways.
