Coventry are waiting on the fitness of goalkeeper Lee Burge before they can decide to extend David Stockdale’s emergency loan.
First choice keeper Burge has been struggling with a shoulder injury and Stockdale came in on a seven-day loan from Birmingham for the 1-0 win over Rochdale – which the club would be able to extend if Burge is not fit to return.
Jodi Jones is also out with a serious knee injury.
Max Biamou has stepped up his recovery from a serious knee problem by returning to light training but could still miss the rest of the season.
Scott Laird, Nicky Devlin, George Dobson and Matt Jarvis could return for Walsall.
They all dropped out of the starting XI for Tuesday’s 1-0 home defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
Kory Roberts is out for the season having broken his leg in the summer.
Captain Adam Chambers remains sidelined with a broken foot which has kept him out since the start of the season.
