A SCHOOLGIRL was treated to the life of luxury by a Premier League star after he learned she had been orphaned following the death of her mum.

Fulham ace Cyrus Christie, 26, laid on the five-star treatment for Alyshia Sobers, 11, after discovering her mum Pam had passed away before Christmas from cancer.

The schoolgirl had already lost her dad Vic six years ago from a heart attack, meaning her 22-year-old sister Sharni Reynolds is her guardian.

Cyrus, from Coventry, learned of Alyshia's plight after her amateur football team started raising funds to help her.

And when he realised she was a Manchester United fan, he laid on tickets for this weekend's clash - along with a chauffeur-driven Mercedes Vito limousine to take her to and from the Premier League clash, which United won 3-0.

Alyisha went to the game with her pal Nancy Billing and her mum Helena, 43.

Nursery nurse Helena said: "Footballers get a lot of bad publicity but Cyrus is an absolute gentleman.

"He heard about what has happened to Alyshia through his connections back home and spent a lot of time, effort and money to ensure she had a day she will never forget."

Alyshia watched the game from the executive box, and after the game, Cyrus asked World Cup winner Paul Pogba to pose for pictures with her.

United star Ashley Young also donated his match shirt to Alyshia.

Helena, of Coventry, added: "Alyshia has been through an awful lot and it was great to see her have such a lovely day.

"Both of the girls said it was an amazing experience and their best ever day."
