Luton equalled a club record 19 Football League games unbeaten by earning a 3-0 victory against Wycombe.
James Collins’ strike and substitute George Moncur’s late double were enough to match a sequence set twice in the late 1960s.
Luton went close early on, Collins’ powerful drive deflected over, while Andrew Shinnie fired at Ryan Allsop from 20 yards.
Danny Hylton was denied by Allsop from close range, Luke Berry hammering the rebound off target.
Luton had the lead after 33 minutes when Hylton’s glorious pass found Jack Stacey, his cross met by Collins for a 19th goal of the season.
After the break, Collins almost had a second, his curled effort not missing by much.
Town then gave themselves breathing space with five minutes to go, Jason Cummings dazzling the away defence. His shot was parried by Allsop and Moncur tapped home from three yards out.
The sub had a second after 87 minutes as again he was found by Cummings and stroked his effort into the corner.
