Arsenal eye move for PSG star Adrien Rabiot who is out of contract this summer
Arsenal are keen to take Adrien Rabiot for free when his contract runs out at the end of the season

ARSENAL want to sign Adrien Rabiot for free at the end of the season, according to reports.

The Frenchman, 23, is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

According to the Express, Unai Emery is keen to lure the midfielder to the Emirates.

And the fact that he will be available for nothing will be music to the ears of Emery and his board.

Arsenal were unable to make any permanent signings in January because they have limited cash for transfers.

They did bring Denis Suarez in on loan from Barcelona but as things stand he will return to the Nou Camp and signed a contract extension before joining the Gunners.

Emery and Rabiot worked together when the Arsenal boss was in charge at PSG.

And the idea of bringing Rabiot in would certainly soften the blow of losing Aaron Ramsey for free in the summer.

The Welshman is expected to join Juventus when his Arsenal contract expires in six months' time.

But Emery knows there will be plenty of interest in Rabiot, with clubs desperate to convince him to join.

Barcelona were linked with Rabiot but have since paid £65.4million for Ajax star Frenkie De Jong - he will join up with his new team-mates in the summer.

Arsenal's London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea are also interested but reports last week suggested Rabiot would prefer a move to Premier League leaders Liverpool.

After making his intentions to leave PSG clear, Rabiot has been frozen out by manager Thomas Tuchel.

His last appearance came in the 4-1 win over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on December 11.
