Doncaster could hand debut to Downing in FA Cup

Doncaster could hand a debut to new signing Paul Downing in their FA Cup fourth-round tie against Oldham at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The 27-year-old centre-back has joined the club on loan until the end of the season from Blackburn.
Downing increases manager Grant McCann’s defensive options at a time when Joe Wright is still sidelined with an ankle injury.
Andy Butler also misses the game as he serves a one-match ban.
Pete Wild remains in temporary charge of Oldham despite continuing speculation linking Paul Scholes with the managerial vacancy at Boundary Park.
Wild, who oversaw the Latics’ stunning victory over Fulham in round three, is set to return to his role as academy boss when a full-time successor to Frankie Bunn is appointed.
Mohamed Maouche will miss the game through suspension.
The club failed in an appeal against the midfielder’s sending off in the latter stages of last week’s defeat at Macclesfield.
