Newcastle vs Cardiff City - Newcastle quartet could be available

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez hopes to have some of his injured troops available for selection for Saturday’s crucial Premier League clash with Cardiff.
Jamaal Lascelles, Ciaran Clark, Fabian Schar and Isaac Hayden all picked up knocks during Tuesday night’s 4-2 FA Cup third round replay victory at Blackburn, but the Spaniard is hopeful some, if not all, will recover in time.
Midfielders Mohamed Diame (hip) and Kenedy (toe) are closing in on returns and keeper Karl Darlow has shaken off an elbow problem, but Paul Dummett (hamstring) and Jonjo Shelvey (thigh) are still out.
Oumar Niasse is in line to make his Cardiff debut.
The Senegal striker completed his loan move from Everton in time to play on Tyneside and is expected to start, with Cardiff having failed to score in their last three games.
Captain Sean Morrison could miss out after being admitted to hospital this week with what the club described as “a procedure” and, if he does, Bruno Ecuele Manga will be switched to central defence, with Lee Peltier coming in at right-back.
