Edinburgh City stay at Scottish League Two summit

Edinburgh City remained three points clear at the top of Scottish League Two after a blistering start set them on their way to a 4-0 win at Queen’s Park.
Three goals in the opening 16 minutes ended the game as a contest and kept the visitors ahead of Peterhead in the table.
A fine Daniel Galbraith strike broke the deadlock after only four minutes and Allan Smith made it two just three minutes later.
Blair Henderson added the third in the 16th minute and was on target again on the hour mark as Edinburgh ran out convincing winners.
Peterhead found basement boys Albion Rovers a rather tougher nut to crack, but Ryan Dow’s goal four minutes into the second half paved the way for a 2-0 win.
Russell McLean scored the second for the visitors.
Third-placed Clyde also won to stay five points off top spot.
Chris McStay put them in front at struggling Berwick after nine minutes and David Goodwillie doubled the lead in the 36th minute. John Rankin added a third at the death.
Jordan Allan scored twice in Cowdenbeath’s 4-1 win at Elgin.
Goals from David Cox and Kris Renton had the visitors two up at the break and Allan scored his first a minute into the second half.
Darryl McHardy pulled one back for Elgin, but Allan’s second two minutes later, in the 69th minute, ended any brief home hopes of a comeback.
Ten-man Stirling were 2-1 winners at home to Annan, Peter MacDonald’s winning goal, his second of the game, coming 10 minutes after Dominic Docherty’s red card.
Tommy Muir cancelled out MacDonald’s opener in the first half, but the Stirling man sealed victory for the 10 men in the 76th minute.
