NEYMAR may have played his first game with his new hairstyle yesterday - but it was all too much for three dreadlocks which mysteriously FELL OUT.

The superstar forward, 26, ditched his spaghetti-like blonde curls in favour of the flamboyant fake dreads just before Christmas.

Things did not go to plan, though, with three of his fake dreadlocks falling out

But after his first run out for Paris Saint-Germain since the new do, Neymar uploaded a video of the lost locks to his Instagram story.

He captioned the video: "Até breve," meaning "See you later" in Portuguese, along with two crying emojis.

Fortunately for the Brazilian star, despite the difficulty with his new mop, he did not let it affect his performance.

Neymar scored his side's second goal in the 4-0 Coupe de France win away at GSI Pontivy, who play in the Championnat National 3 - the fifth tier of French football.

Kylian Mbappe also got on the scoresheet for the 4-0 win in the Coupe de France last night

An own goal put the Ligue 1 champions in front but they had to wait until the 70th minute for Neymar to double their advantage.

Kylian Mbappe made sure of the win with a penalty before Julian Draxler capped it off with a late fourth.

It was PSG's first game since December 22 so Thomas Tuchel fielded a strong side.

With the club 13 points clear at the top the league and with two games in hand, Tuchel and his side will surely have half an eye on the Champions League last-16 tie with Manchester United.

At the time of the draw, it appeared it would be a routine win across the two legs for PSG, with the first tie at Old Trafford on February 12 followed by the return in Paris on March 6.

But since then, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has replaced Jose Mourinho in the Old Trafford dugout and suddenly, after five wins from five, it promises to be an epic clash.
