O’Shea at the double as Bury rally to beat Crewe

Bury roared back from a half-time deficit as they secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory against Crewe.
Midfielder Jay O’Shea scored twice as the Shakers moved back up to fourth in League Two.
Crewe stunned Bury with a well-taken goal – only their fourth away goal all season – after just three minutes.
Jordan Bowery swung in a cross from the right and veteran striker Chris Porter volleyed home his third in as many games via the post.
Bury went close with a swift response as Nicky Maynard forced a fine point-blank save from Ben Garratt.
Shortly before half-time the visitors almost went two clear when Ryan Wintle fired a disappointing shot straight at Joe Murphy from 12 yards.
Caolan Lavery evened it up for Bury in the 50th minute, slotting home a rebound after Danny Mayor’s effort bounced out off the post.
Eight minutes later the hosts were in front when O’Shea converted a penalty after Danny Mayor was shoved by James Jones.
O’Shea side-footed home Bury’s third from eight yards after being teed up by Callum McFadzean.
