Swindon and Cheltenham share spoils from goalless stalemate

Swindon and Cheltenham could only produce a goalless draw as a result of an instantly-forgettable match at the County Ground.
Much of the first half passed without incident, as neither Lawrence Vigouroux or Scott Flinders had much to do in either goal.
Immediately after the restart Will Boyle was booked for pulling Elijah Adebayo on the outside of the box and Matt Taylor forced a good save out of Flinders from the resulting free-kick.
Christmas rarely passes without a domestic, and there was a scuffle just before the hour when a nasty James Dunne foul on Luke Varney led to Jordon Foster pushing Dunne in frustration, which led to a melee. Dunne and Forster were booked for their troubles.
Dunne tried to make amends soon after but he could only guide a low Adebayo cross just wide.
He flipped back to nearly being a villain in the last 20 minutes though when he sliced an attempted clearance towards his own goal and Vigouroux produced an excellent save to reduce Dunne’s blushes.
