Alex Fisher pushing for Yeovil start
Posted Friday, December 21, 2018 by PA
Alex Fisher could make a return to the Yeovil starting XI as they host Northampton at Huish Park on Saturday.
Fisher, who has scored seven goals in all competitions for the Glovers this season, returned from injury as a substitute against Cambridge on Saturday.
Manager Darren Way still has an extensive injury list, although it is hoped Nathan Baxter and Bevis Mugabi could recover soon.
Omar Sowunmi (ankle), Diallang Jaiyesimi (knee), James Bailey (knee) and Alex Pattison (back) complete the long-term injured list.
Northampton boss Keith Curle has said he has “pretty much a clean bill of health” ahead of their festive fixture list.
Defender Ash Taylor could make a return after being taken off at half-time against Stevenage following a back spasm last Thursday.
The Cobblers could also welcome back John-Joe O’Toole soon after the midfielder returned to training.
Northampton have lost just one of their last eight league matches.
