Blair Henderson scored a hat-trick as Ladbrokes League Two table-toppers Edinburgh City thumped Elgin 4-1.
With second-placed Peterhead’s clash against Cowdenbeath postponed due to high winds, Edinburgh’s victory increases their advantage at the top of the table to five points.
After the hosts had opened the scoring through Henderson in the 21st minute, Rabin Omar levelled things up for Elgin 16 minutes after the break.
But Edinburgh were soon back in front, going 2-1 up in the 67th minute thanks to Allan Smith before Henderson grabbed his second and his side’s third 11 minutes before the end.
And he completed his hat-trick in the 87th minute as he scored his 16th league goal of the season.
John Rankin scored a last-gasp winner as Clyde beat Annan 1-0 in the only other game in the division to go ahead on Saturday.
Rankin scored his third goal in as many games in the second minute of added time to hand third-placed Clyde all three points.
Berwick’s clash with Queen’s Park and Albion’s trip to Stirling were both called off.
