Shrewsbury report no new injury worries

Sam Ricketts has no new injury worries as he prepares for his first home league game in charge of Shrewsbury.

Shaun Whalley could come into contention for a starting berth after playing a full 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek.

Whalley recently returned from six and a half weeks out with a calf injury but had to settle for a place on the bench against Burton last week.

Ricketts also indicated that striker Lee Angol could figure after he scored a hat-trick in the same reserves game.

Peterborough boss Steve Evans expects no ill effects from his side’s epic midweek FA Cup replay win over Bradford.

Evans, who does not expect to have any fresh injury concerns, believes his squad’s strength in depth will see them through the Christmas programme.

Ivan Toney will once again be the target man for Posh after his hat-trick against the Bantams.

One expected change is likely to see the return in goal of Aaron Chapman despite Conor O’Malley’s fine performance against Bradford.
