Man Utd and Chelsea want £45m Eder Militao

Manchester United are ready to make a move for Porto defender Eder Militao, according to reports in Brazil.

According to UOL, Militao is now firmly on Mourinho’s wish list and an enquiry has been made.

Old Trafford spies watched the 20-year-old in action against Portimonense over the weekend.

It’s suggested United favour a £45m (€50m) January move.

Chelsea are also interested in the defender.

Valencia to make offer for Juan Mata?

Manchester United face losing Mata on a free transfer at the end of the season, with the player yet to sign a contract extension over at Old Trafford.

Despite his popularity in both the dressing room and among the fans, Valencia have been tipped to secure a reunion with the player.

Should, as expected, Mourinho leave his post as manager at the end of the season it would mean Mata having to win round ANOTHER new boss.

And the Daily Mail say that, amid uncertainty over his future at the club, Valencia would welcome him back.

Arsenal star Alex Iwobi had offers to leave

Arsenal ace Alex Iwobi has revealed just how close he came to leaving the Gunners as a teenager.

“My situation was weird,” Iwobi said. “There was three of us at the time and we were basically told: 'Stay if you want, or if not you are free to go'.

“It was up to me and at that moment I went to the Crystal Palace training ground to see them.

“I had offers from Celtic and Southampton as well. Celtic was the main one but I wasn’t ready to go to Scotland.

“I thought it was best to stay at Arsenal but I have to say it felt weird. I was playing for England but I felt maybe I wasn’t rated.

“My England team-mates and everyone else was getting in my ear saying that Arsenal don’t love me because they weren’t offering me a deal.

“It was hard especially because at school as well everyone was talking about it.”
