Sky Bet Championship leaders Norwich will have winger Onel Hernandez available again following a hamstring problem for the visit of struggling Bolton.
Midfielder Moritz Leitner (calf) remains unavailable as he manages a calf injury.
Captain Grant Hanley is stepping up his return having been sidelined since early September with a thigh injury, along with Scotland international Kenny McLean (ankle).
Winger Matt Jarvis (ankle/knee) and Carlton Morris (knee) are also building up fitness, while midfielder Louis Thompson (shoulder) continues his recovery.
Bolton hope to have midfielder Will Buckley available for the trip to Norfolk.
Buckley scored an early goal in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Wigan before going off midway through the second half with a tight groin tendon, but a scan showed no significant issues.
Sammy Ameobi will be monitored after continuing his return from ankle ligament damage by completing 75 minutes against the Latics.
Dutch winger Yanic Wildschut could feature against his former club, while midfielder Gary O’Neil, who also had a spell at Carrow Road, is stepping up rehabilitation after a calf problem.
