Dagenham score twice in stoppage time to seal dramatic win over Hartlepool

Dagenham scored two goals in stoppage time to condemn Hartlepool to a seventh straight National League defeat.
Craig Hignett took charge of the home side following Matthew Bates’ departure in midweek and they were deservedly in front through Liam Noble’s penalty going into the 90th minute.
But Ben Goodliffe’s close-range header equalised and Matt Robinson scored at the end of a quick break four minutes into time added on to snatch the points for the Daggers.
Pools started on the front foot and after Josh Hawkes and Luke James had fired in early shots, they took the lead from the spot.
Alex McQueen was adjudged to have brought down Mark Kitching and midfielder Noble stepped up to score his ninth goal of the season.
Striker Niko Muir fired wide early in the second half and Hawkes tested Elliot Justham from a tight angle after 68 minutes as Hartlepool pushed for a second goal.
Noble hit the base of a post and Nicky Featherstone fired the follow-up at Justham, only for the game to turn in Dagenham’s favour at the death.
