Chesterfield snatch late draw with fellow strugglers Bromley

Chesterfield salvaged a late 1-1 draw at home to Bromley to keep pace with their fellow relegation battlers.
Affairs looked to be going astray yet again for Martin Allen’s men, but they kept plugging away and won a 90th-minute penalty for handball. Zavon Hines placed it coolly down the middle to earn a precious point.
Bromley had forged in front after 36 minutes when Frankie Sutherland’s free kick was flicked on and George Porter was in the right place to head home adeptly.
The late penalty equaliser brightened a lot of the fans on a cold evening, but the Spireites still remain in a rut with just one win in 21 matches.
