Academy graduate Sol Pryce enjoyed a dream league debut with a brace as Swindon beat Stevenage 3-2 at the County Ground.
Pryce opened his account after just 18 seconds before adding another in first-half stoppage-time to hand manager Richie Wellens his first home victory.
The 18-year-old Pryce got his Swindon career off to a blistering start by turning in Steven Alzate’s cross from close range.
Fellow youth product Scott Twine doubled the lead four minutes later, gobbling up the rebound Matt Taylor’s free-kick had been parried by Seny Timothy Dong.
Scott Cuthbert’s header on 14 minutes against his former club concluded a frantic opening to the game.
Pryce restored the two-goal advantage in first half stoppage-time by calmly slotting home after beating the Stevenage offside trap.
Joel Byrom gave the visitors hope of snatching a point 12 minutes from time with a heavily deflected strike but Swindon held on to claim their first back-to-back wins since January.
