After impressing the medical world by completing a sex change operation in just 18 hours, Cesar Noval will turn his attention to refereeing in Real Madrid's match against Eibar on Saturday.
The plastic surgeon from Valencia, who has been successful in the United States, is a consummate professional and a star of his field, but also has a hidden passion - as a football match official.
In a report published by Vocento's Fernando Minana, Noval admitted that there are some players in Spain's top flight that know about his expertise and have asked about potential cosmetic procedures, including Sergio Ramos.
Doctor Noval chooses to be an assistant referee as a hobby and has featured in Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Europa League games.
As a surgeon, he has no problems in performing sex change surgery in just 18 hours or a new implant, but as a linesman he must comply to the rules of the Spanish Football Federation and silence is one of them.
