CHELSEA are interested in West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic according to the Austrian’s brother and agent.

Arnautovic has become one of the most important players for the Hammers since joining from Stoke City in 2017.

He cost West Ham £28million but has scored five times in ten Premier League games this season.

Chelsea are believed to be after a new forward due to the struggles of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata.

Giroud has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge while Morata has struggled to live up to expectations since joining the Blues.

And now Arnautovic’s brother and agent Daniel has revealed Chelsea are tracking the 29-year-old.

"It's not that he really wants to leave, but we believe this is the moment in his career when he has to take a step forward and try to win a few trophies, maybe even the Champions League," he told gianlucadimarzio.com.

"There are a lot of Premier League clubs tracking him. Chelsea and Everton, for example, but not only them.

"Marko feels extremely comfortable at West Ham. You can see that every week.

"But you also get the feeling this cannot be the end. He's ready for the next step.

"Someone like him should not be fighting against relegation but playing for the best seats and for the international places."

Arnautovic admitted this week that his brother is working to find him a new club.

“I’m 29, so that’s the best age,” he said.

“It’s clear that I want to compete with the best players. But in this affair I totally trust my brother.”

Manchester United are favourites to sign the West Ham forward, priced at 7-4 with Betfair.

Chelsea are priced at 11-4 with Tottenham third favourites at 8-1.
