Stockport spring cup shock at Yeovil

Stockport of the National League North caused an FA Cup first round upset at League Two Yeovil with a convincing 3-1 victory.
Despite being two divisions below their hosts Stockport started the better of the two sides, but Yeovil still took the lead on eight minutes against the run of play as Alex Fisher rose at the far post to head in.
The visitors did not let it affect them, though, and equalised in spectacular style when Matty Warburton bent in a superb free-kick in the 34th minute.
Four minutes later and the away side were ahead as poor defending allowed Elliot Osborne to cross low for Nyal Bell to tap home the Hatters’ second.
Yeovil’s afternoon went from bad to worse in the 62nd minute when a mix-up at the back between Shaun Donnellan and keeper Nathan Baxter left them both on the floor and allowed Frank Mulhern to walk it in just two minutes after coming on.
Ben Hinchcliffe pushed a Tom James header onto the bar late on to ensure a memorable result for Stockport.
