Aaron Ramsey next club - Juventus favourites to strike January deal
Aaron Ramsey could leave Arsenal in January

The Welshman was informed he will not be receiving a new contract at Arsenal last weekend, with his current deal due to expire next summer.

It is believed he was told in person why the club withdrew their offer of an extension following months of talks.

This season, then, will be Ramsey's last at the Emirates - but the Gunners could be tempted to cash in on him while they still can in January.

So who are the leading contenders with the bookies to sign him when the transfer window reopens?

Quite surprisingly, SkyBet have installed Serie A giants Juventus as 6/1 favourites to land the 27-year-old.

The Italian champions are six points clear at the top of the table and boss Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly a huge fan of Ramsey.

If they don't snap him up for an immediate move January move, Juve can strike a pre-contract agreement with the midfielder.

Liverpool and Chelsea - also rumoured to be interested in a deal - are unable to do the same as the ruling only allows foreign clubs to offer pre-contracts to pending free agents.

It is the Reds who follow Juve in the list, with Jurgen Klopp's side 7/1 to sign Ramsey in January.

Manchester United come next at 8/1, while Chelsea are 9/1 to hand him a London lifeline.

Starsport understand the Blues are having doubts over pursuing Ramsey following the improved form of Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Other sides in the running include Everton (10/1), AC Milan (16/1) and Wolves (25/1).
