Tranmere boss Micky Mellon will have Oliver Banks available again for the visit of Crawley.
Midfielder Banks missed Tuesday’s defeat at Forest Green Rovers due to a one-match ban after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Yeovil.
Adam Buxton has returned to training after a back injury and could feature, while fellow defender Zoumana Bakayogo is edging closer to a comeback.
Forward Cole Stockton and defenders Liam Ridehalgh and Evan Gumbs remain long-term absentees.
Crawley boss Gabriele Cioffi will be without the services of two suspended players for the trip to Prenton Park.
Defender Bondz N’Gala serves the final game of a three-match ban following his dismissal against Colchester.
And midfielder Josh Payne is also ruled out after picking up yellow cards in each of the last five games.
Ashley Nathaniel-George or Dannie Bulman are in contention to replace Payne in midfield.
