Queen of the South moved to within two points of the Scottish Championship play-off positions after Josh Todd’s late goal secured a 1-0 victory at Dunfermline.
The fifth-placed visitors were kept at bay at East End Park until Todd struck six minutes from time.
Todd was sent clear by substitute Adam Frizzell and the midfielder made no mistake with his finish, slotting low past Lee Robinson.
The Pars wasted a golden chance to score on the half-hour as Louis Longridge failed to keep his shot down from an Andy Ryan cut-back.
