Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton is back in contention for the home game against Nottingham Forest after suspension.
Clayton missed the midweek win at Ipswich having accrued five yellow cards and it remains to be seen if he returns to the starting line-up.
Striker Britt Assombalonga is also available again after shaking off a knock which restricted him to bench duty on Tuesday night.
Boss Tony Pulis has several selection dilemmas, with Mo Besic, Stewart Downing and Martin Braithwaite all hoping to retain their starting places.
Forest’s former Boro boss Aitor Karanka could be boosted by the return to contention of forward Hillal Soudani.
Soudani has been out since late August due to a knee injury, but is back in full training and could be included in Karanka’s plans.
Forest winger Joe Lolley will be assessed after being withdrawn from Tuesday night’s home draw against Millwall due to a hamstring injury.
Portuguese winger Diogo Goncalves sits out the final game of his three-match ban after his red card in the recent Carabao Cup win against Stoke.
