Charlton Athletic vs Coventry - Krystian Bielik and Jamie Ward return for Charlton
Posted Friday, October 05, 2018 by PA
Charlton have midfielder Krystian Bielik and forward Jamie Ward available for Saturday’s League One visit of Coventry.
The pair had been struggling with respective groin and hamstring injuries, with boss Lee Bowyer saying Bielik is expected to start on the bench.
Forward Billy Clarke has also returned to training after a long-term absence with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, but he is not yet ready for selection.
Full-back Lewis Page will also miss out, having picked up an unspecified injury in Tuesday’s 5-3 defeat at Scunthorpe.
Coventry defender Junior Brown is expected to miss out again due to concussion.
The 29-year-old missed the home fixture against Portsmouth, but could return to contention after this weekend.
Conor Chaplin was also absent against his parent club and is back to face Charlton.
Fellow striker Max Biamou will not play again the season, having suffered a long-term knee injury.
