Lee Burge faces fitness test after being hit by ice hockey puck

Coventry goalkeeper Lee Burge will be assessed ahead of facing Portsmouth after suffering a freak injury watching ice hockey.

The 25-year-old was hit in the head by the puck while he watched Coventry Blaze’s match against Sheffield Steelers on Sunday.

He trained with a bandaged head on Monday while Junior Brown is expected to miss Coventry’s next two games after suffering concussion in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

Conor Chaplin cannot play against his parent club when they travel to the Ricoh Arena while Max Biamou is out for the season with a knee injury but Jodi Jones is back from his own long-term knee problem.

Sky Bet League One leaders Portsmouth could still be without loanee Andre Green.

The Aston Villa forward is struggling with a knee injury which has restricted him to just two Pompey appearances since his move to Fratton Park.

Dion Donohue is not ready to feature after returning to training following a hamstring problem.

Right-back Anton Walkes is battling to return to the squad after being left out for the 3-1 win at Rochdale.
