Bury seal successive away wins with victory at Colchester

Bury made it back-to-back away wins in League Two after recording an impressive 2-1 triumph at Colchester United.
Luke Norris’ penalty gave late hope to the hosts but earlier goals from Byron Moore and Chris Dagnall were enough to seal the win for Bury.
Jay O’Shea curled a free-kick just over for Bury early on while at the other end, Shakers keeper Joe Murphy then denied Frank Nouble before Bury broke the deadlock ten minutes before half-time.
Byron Moore rifled into the net from close range after Nicky Adams had latched on to O’Shea’s pass and picked out Moore.
Colchester almost equalised three minutes later when Murphy denied Courtney Senior and Harry Pell’s 25-yard effort flashed over before the break.
U’s keeper Dillon Barnes foiled Dagnall from inside the six-yard box early in the second half.
But Bury doubled their lead seven minutes after half-time through Dagnall, who planted a fine left-foot shot inside the far post after finding himself in acres of space.
Barnes denied O’Shea before Colchester received a lifeline with eight minutes remaining when Luke Norris blasted in from the spot after he had been fouled by Chris Stokes in the area, but the Shakers held out.
