Clarke-Harris on target to earn draw for Sky Blues

Jonson Clarke-Harris scored an equaliser as Coventry hit back to earn a point from a 1-1 home draw against Sunderland in Sky Bet League One.
Clark-Harris netted after 68 minutes for the home side to earn a draw as Lee Cattermole had put the visitors ahead with 49 minutes gone.
There was little to cheer from both sides in a lacklustre opening period with the only bright moment falling to Sunderland as Chris Maguire drilled a free-kick against the post with skipper George Honeyman putting the rebound over.
But things burst into life four minutes after the break when Sunderland’s Cattermole was left unmarked inside the area to steer home an Adam Matthews cross.
The goal spurred the Sky Blues into action and Black Cats keeper John McLaughlin was forced into a number of saves to keep the lead intact.
He was finally beaten with a well-worked effort after 68 minutes as Dujon Sterling jinked past his marker before picking out Clarke-Harris in the middle and he clipped the ball just inside the bottom right corner.
Both sides had late chances, Honeyman being denied by City keeper Lee Burge while Matthews cleared a Conor Chaplin effort off the line at the other end.
