Concussion could keep Akin Famewo sidelined as Grimsby take on Morecambe

Akin Famewo is likely to be ruled out for Grimsby’s home game with Morecambe due to concussion.
The defender, on loan from Luton, was involved in a clash of heads in training and will be assessed but is doubtful.
Elliott Whitehouse is a long-time injury victim as he recovers from knee surgery he underwent in the summer.
Andrew Fox has been battling a strain and missed training on Thursday but Jordan Cook and Paul Dixon are available.
Morecombe’s injury problems eased last week after a raft of players returned.
Luke Conlan, Alex Kenyon, Rhys Oates and Mark Halstead made their comebacks into the squad for the win over Macclesfield.
Sam Lavelle made his first start of the season last week while Steven Old has been battling an Achilles problem.
Midfielder Garry Thompson remains a long-term absentee for Jim Bentley’s side with his own Achilles injury.
