Swindon comfortably end Yeovil’s six-match unbeaten run

Swindon Town were deserved 3-0 winners at Yeovil Town in Sky Bet League Two after three second-half goals at Huish Park.

Steven Alzate’s first for the club, a Matty Taylor free-kick and a late Elijah Adebayo strike secured all three points for the Robins.

Olufela Olomola also missed a penalty for Yeovil as they saw a run of five straight clean-sheets in the league ended in emphatic fashion.

Alzate opened the scoring just before the hour mark when he picked out the bottom corner having been given too much time and space on the edge of the area.

Taylor found the same corner in the 79th minute with a superb curling free-kick, before Adebayo rounded things off 10 minutes later after cutting inside from the left wing and firing the ball past goalkeeper Nathan Baxter.

Olomola had the opportunity to halve the deficit at 2-0 when Keshi Anderson pushed Jordan Green in the box, but his 83rd-minute spot-kick hit the top of the bar before bouncing harmlessly over.
