Gavin Reilly scores his first Bristol Rovers goal in win over Coventry

Gavin Reilly netted his first goal for Bristol Rovers to set them on course for a 3-1 League One victory over Coventry at the Memorial Stadium.
The home side went ahead after seven minutes when Reilly, a summer signing from St Mirren, latched onto a poor defensive header and coolly rolled a left-footed shot past Lee Burge, having advanced into the box.
Coventry had started well but were 2-0 down after 19 minutes. Poor defending at a Chris Lines free-kick allowed Tom Lockyer to net his third goal of the season with a downward header, the ball slipping through Burge’s hands on the wet pitch.
An Ollie Clarke screamer from outside the area in the 23rd minute made it 3-0 but just before the break Dom Hyam gave Coventry hope by rising to head in a Michael Doyle free-kick.
Rovers looked the more likely scorers in the second half and Burge made good saves from Stuart Sinclair and substitute Alex Jakubiak.
