Karlan Ahearne-Grant scored a late winner as Charlton came from behind to beat Plymouth 2-1 and record their fourth successive victory.
Ahearne-Grant completed his brace in the 88th minute to earn the hosts all three points in the League One clash.
Argyle opened the scoring after just nine minutes, when Graham Carey was left unmarked to head home Joel Grant’s cross from the left.
However, the home side were level three minutes later when Ahearne-Grant poked home from close range after Jason Pearce knocked back in a Ben Reeves corner.
Charlton should have taken the lead in the 37th minute from the spot, after Antoni Sarcevic fouled Chris Solly.
But Lyle Taylor saw his effort saved by goalkeeper Matt Macey, with Ahearne-Grant putting the loose ball into the side netting.
Macey blocked the onrushing Ward three minutes before the break, while the first effort of the second half saw Ahearne-Grant’s effort deflected off the crossbar.
A shot by Lewis Page with five minutes left also hit the frame of the goal as Charlton pressed, and the winner arrived when Ahearne-Grant pounced on a header by Igor Vetokele.
