Oldham fight back as Clarke clinches Colchester point

Oldham produced a storming late comeback to snatch a 3-3 draw at home to fellow high-flyers Colchester.
The visitors stretched their season-long unbeaten away run but two goals in the last five minutes earned a dramatic point for the Latics.
Colchester went ahead after 15 minutes when Brennan Dickenson’s corner was helped on to the back post for Luke Norris to stab in from six yards.
It was 2-0 five minutes after the break as Oldham failed to clear another Dickenson corner, giving Harry Pell the chance to drive high into the net from 16 yards.
Frankie Bunn’s home side replied just before the hour mark, Andy Taylor crossing from the left and Sam Surridge applying a simple finish at the far post.
But Norris struck again after 68 minutes when he forced his way through the penalty area and drilled home his sixth goal of the campaign.
Surridge also completed a personal double as he glanced in Dan Gardner’s 85th-minute free-kick and, just three minutes later, Andy Taylor’s corner was powered in by the head of Oldham captain Peter Clarke to ensure the honours ended even.
