Heed-ache for Spireites

Gateshead ensured Chesterfield’s miserable Vanarama National League run continued with a 3-0 victory at the Proact Stadium.
Martin Allen’s Spireites have picked up just two points from a possible 27 after goals from Scott Boden (two) and Steven Rigg gave the visitors a 3-0 win.
Boden, once of Chesterfield, poked home from close range to give the visitors an 18th-minute lead, which was doubled two minutes before half-time when Steven Rigg rounded off a solo run with a curling 20-yard finish.
Spireites substitute Zavon Hines was dismissed eight minutes after his 56th-minute introduction following a foul on Greg Olley and a dismal day for the hosts was complete midway through the second half when Boden scored his second after good work by Robbie Tinkler.
