Scott Wharton and Neal Eardley hoping to return for Lincoln

Lincoln could welcome back Scott Wharton and Neal Eardley for the visit of MK Dons.

The defensive duo are battling to be fit after missing the win at Macclesfield through injury.

The Imps will be without Lee Frecklington, who continues his three-match suspension following his sending-off against Crawley a fortnight ago.

Danny Cowley’s side are three points clear at the top of League Two and welcome a Dons side currently lying ninth.

Baily Cargill is a doubt for the trip to Sincil Bank after he hobbled off against Forest Green on Saturday.

But boss Paul Tisdale is hopeful the former Bournemouth defender will be available.

Chuks Aneke is set to keep his place in attack after a goalscoring return to the side.

The striker was linked with a move away all summer but scored on his first league appearance of the season in the 1-1 draw with Forest Green.
