Kelly the hero in Maidenhead victory
Posted Sunday, September 16, 2018 by PA
Josh Kelly scored twice as in-form Maidenhead beat Halifax 3-0 at York Road.
The Magpies did the job early with two strikes in the first quarter. First, Kelly glanced in a header off the post from James Comley’s precise cross.
Kelly was the provider shortly after, teeing up Adrian Clifton for a close-range finish.
Kelly added his second when a deft flick-on by Clifton sent him through, further epitomising the pair’s great on-field chemistry. The striker concentrated well to score low past Sam Johnson.
The hosts’ Ayo Obileye was sent off late on for a second yellow card, but it mattered little.
