Doncaster hit back to put four past Walsall

Doncaster came from behind to claim a thumping 4-1 win at Walsall as the hosts’ unbeaten League One start to the season bit the dust.
Walsall threatened after 10 minutes as Luke Leahy’s defence-splitting pass freed Josh Ginnelly but he curled inches wide from 18 yards.
Rovers went close five minutes later as ex-Saddlers skipper Andy Butler glanced a header wide from Danny Andrew’s cross.
Butler gifted his old team the opener after 17 minutes as his mistimed header from a Ginnelly cross set up Morgan Ferrier to nod home from a couple of yards.
But Doncaster levelled zfter 33 minutes as Leahy handled a high ball and John Marquis tucked home his fourth league goal of the season from the spot.
Doncaster keeper Marko Marosi impressively foiled Ferrier’s six-yard strike after the break before Rovers led as Leeds loanee Mallik Wilks drilled past Liam Roberts at his near post.
Wilks’ surging run set up James Coppinger to curl home a fine third before Matty Blair lashed in Rovers’ fourth from 12 yards in stoppage time.
