Yeovil thrash Newport at Rodney Parade

Yeovil thrashed Newport 6-0 to become the first side to win at Rodney Parade this season.
A brace from Jordan Green plus goals from Diallang Jaiyesimi, Yohan Arquin, Olufela Olomola and Carl Dickinson floored 10-man County.
Arquin put the visitors ahead when he drilled the ball into the bottom right-hand corner after a well-timed pass from Diallang Jaiyesimi.
Green extended Yeovil’s lead when he scuffed a shot into the back of the net after Matty Dolan had failed to clear.
Jaiyesimi capped an impressive first half for the visitors when his header beat Joe Day to give Yeovil a 3-0 half-time lead.
Yeovil began the second half as they had finished the first with Green drilling the ball past a helpless Joe Day for their fourth.
Olomola grabbed their fifth goal with a stunning strike into the far left-hand corner before a speculative strike from Dickinson slipped through the legs of Day.
And the game ended on a sour note when Newport’s Robbie Willmott received a red card for a shocking two-legged challenge.
