The Premier League's Cheapest Ground For A Pint Has Been Confirmed

The price of football is ever increasing and whenever someone starts totting up how much it'll cost there's always the price of beer added into the equation and now we know the cheapest place in the Premier League to grab a pint.

Beer is the foundation of most male friendships, and some female ones too but generally it's our side of the human race that need the help. Needing to be social with work mates you don't really know? Beer! Never get to meet up with your friends? Suggest a pint! Require a boost of confidence before your Tinder date? Well that's a job for beer!

Of course alcohol is also a substance that helps when it comes to your favourite football team. In need of drowning your sorrows? Beer! Time to celebrate? Beer!

In England fans can't enjoy beer in the ground as much as they'd like because you can't take alcohol to your seat, unlike in the continent where it's allowed.

However that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy a pint in the concourse before kick off and at half time but depending where you do it you might need to remortgage your house, not that any of us can afford that these days.

According to OddsMonkey, via the Mirror, Burnley and Huddersfield charge the least for a pint at their grounds, charging just £3.20 with Chelsea's Stamford Bridge beer costing £4.80.

Wherever this match took place these lads are off for a cheap pint.

That seems like a staggering amount at the home of the Blues but it's arguably not the dearest in terms of everything being relative.

You see compared to the area surrounding the ground, and it'll be expensive in west London, it's actually Cardiff City who charge the most in England's top tier.

The Welsh side charge £4.30 at the stadium and that's a whopping £1.30 more than the average cost of a pint in the city, the biggest mark up around.

West Ham and Arsenal, on the flip side, actually charge less than the surrounding area. The report says the two clubs charge £3.90 a pint, costing 3p less than outside the ground.

Peter Watton of OddsMonkey said: "It was no surprise that the price of a pint in Burnley's city centre is considerably cheaper than the prices in London.

"However, what was surprising to us was the amount of pubs that don't accept away supporters and how difficult it is to find somewhere that does."

The city's of Burnley and Huddersfield also charge the least at £2.20 and £2.55 respectively, so there's your weekends away sorted!
