Messi's book of records

The youngest? Ferran Torres. The tallest? Courtois. The one who has played the most matches? Joaquin. The one that scored the most penalties? Stuani. And above all, a Leo Messi that dominates several categories of the Guinness Book of Records for LaLiga Santander 2018/19.

Other illustrious players like Simeone, Busquets or Undiano Mallenco also have space in this tome.

387 goals scored, 317 wins and 45 straight games without losing

They are perhaps the three most important stats for Leo Messi, although they are not the only ones.

The No.10 monopolises all the LaLiga Santander scoring records: He's the one who has scored the first goal in a match more times than anyone else (85), who has scored the most match winners (27) and who has scored the most as a substitute (21).

One of the few records that escapes the Argentinian is held by one of his teammates.

Sergio Busquets is the man who has won most league matches consecutively (25), and it's not Messi but Umtiti, who is second with 18.

Continuing with the list: Joaquin and Simeone appear.

The incombustible Betico continues to break records and is the active player who has played most matches (487), while the Atletico man is currently the coach with most consecutive seasons at the same club: eight already, an unusual record in these times.

As unusual are the 38 years and 40 days of Juanjo Camacho, captain of Huesca and the oldest player.

"I'm very proud, it's a valued record and evidence of the work that I have left behind."

At the other extreme, Ferran Torres, who is only 18 years and 5 months old, has earned a place at Valencia and is the youngest in LaLiga Santander with a first team record.

Undiano, 18 seasons

Pablo Piatti is the shortest footballer in the competition, and his 1.63m contrasts with the 1.99m of Courtois, the skyscraper pf the domestic competition.

For there to be football, there must be a man in the middle, and there Undiano Mallenco is unrivalled.

Eighteen seasons and 329 matches, the most in La Primera's history.

Stuani is the only active player, of those who have scored at least 10 penalties, who still doesn't know what it is to miss from 12 yards.

His record so far is 11 from 11.
