Cristiano Ronaldo is disappointed in certain journalists

The biggest story of the summer was Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus and he continues to be a talking point when it comes to Real Madrid, with every performance analysed in relation to his absence.

Several Spanish journalists have been writing about how Los Blancos look good without him and this has hurt the Portuguese player.

He is upset by the criticism received and feels that what he achieved at Real Madrid is being underappreciated.

Beleiving that his relationships with certain journalists were ones of friendship, he expected a different kind of treatment to that which he has received in recent days.

One of the main talking points of the past couple of weeks has been his decision to stay away from UEFA's gala, at which Luka Modric beat the No.7 to the best player award.

According to several different Portuguese publications, the forward called Modric to congratulate him for his success, even if he still feels that he deserved to win the prize.

His apology for the non-attendance has reduced tensions with his former teammates and Ronaldo is set to attend FIFA's The Best awards on September 24.

He and his close circle have confirmed that he'll attend the event in London.

As for Juventus, the directors in Turin are not unhappy with the player and they consider his decision not to attend the UEFA gala as a personal one.

They didn't mind his no-show and are satisfied with his professionalism.
