Junior Morais to miss Cheltenham clash

Northampton will be without striker Junior Morais for the home clash with Cheltenham.

Morais, who scored his first goal for the Cobblers in their last League Two match against Tranmere, missed the Checkatrade Trophy defeat to Wycombe with a hamstring problem.

Following that game, manager Dean Austin said: “We are optimistic on Junior Morias and I’m hoping he will only be out for two to three weeks.”

Shaun McWilliams returned to action against the Chairboys after a hamstring injury, captaining the side, and he is in contention.

Cheltenham are hoping goalkeeper Scott Flinders will recover from illness in time for the trip.

Rhys Lovett came in for the 4-0 Trophy defeat to Forest Green in midweek and is likely to keep his place should Flinders not make it.

Full-backs Chris Hussey and Sean Long are unlikely to return for another two weeks.

Interim manager Russ Milton said there were a few players with knocks but no one has been ruled out for the weekend.
