Cambridge captain Taylor set to return against Carlisle

Cambridge captain Greg Taylor is expected to return from a hamstring injury in the League Two clash with Carlisle.

Defender Taylor made his comeback from a hamstring injury in Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy loss to Southend, which also featured the return of Paul Lewis from a hamstring problem.

Midfielder Lewis is also set to be in the squad, but Harrison Dunk is again doubtful.

Striker Barry Corr is also a major doubt.

Striker Hallam Hope could be absent for Carlisle after being called up to play for Barbados.

Midfielder Adam Campbell is available after being ineligible to feature against parent club Morecambe in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Boss John Sheridan could make changes to his league side after being impressed by the likes of George Glendon, Jerry Yates and Liam McCarron in the midweek win.

Goalkeeper Joe Fryer (broken leg) and left-back Danny Grainger (calf) are out.
